Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information

Car Riders

  • We will start dismissing students from their vehicles at 7:35 AM. Please follow the diagram below.

  • The first vehicle will pull up to the cone. All other vehicles will pull in behind the first vehicle and shift to park.

  • To help ensure the safety of our students, we ask that we have no moving cars while students are on the sidewalk.  

  • Once the students are all off the main sidewalk we will dismiss those vehicles to leave.  Please do not pull around other vehicles as soon as your child is out of your vehicle.  We will dismiss the cars all at once as we do not want any cars moving while kids are on the main sidewalk.

  • The next vehicles will pull up to the front of the building and we will dismiss them using the same procedures.

  • In the afternoon we will use the same path through the parking lot to pick up your child. We will load the cars on the sidewalk all at the same time.

  • Please do not leave as soon as your child is in your vehicle.  We will dismiss the cars all parked by the sidewalk at the same time once all the kids are loaded.  We do not want any cars moving while we have students on the main sidewalk.  

  • Once those vehicles have left we will have the next group pull up and we will load them using the same procedure.

  • On the North Side of the parking lot (beside the playground) there is a golf cart path.  It is marked by a yellow line and we will have cones placed out there the first week of school.  Please do not drive on this path as we do not want golf carts and cars crossing each other’s paths.  

  • Please Note: If you are in line before 7:50 AM your child will not be counted tardy even if it is taking longer to unload all the students.  If you arrive after 7:50 AM your child will be counted tardy.   

Walkers, Bike Riders & Golf Carts

  • Students will come to Door 11 (playground doors) and can enter the building at 7:40 AM.  

  • If they are here after 7:50 AM they will need to go to Door 1 (main entrance).  

  • At the end of the day they will exit the building through Door 11 at 2:30 PM.  

  • We have a sidewalk for the families that live right across the street, designated for walkers and bike riders only.

  • If you are coming from across the street with a golf cart we ask that you take the main sidewalk along Carey Road to the South tree line and follow the grass around to the back of the building.

  •  If your child rides a bike or you pick up/drop off your child using a golf cart we ask that you stay out of the parking lot whenever possible.  We are asking the golf carts and bike riders to use the grass (it is worn down and well packed from use over the  years).  

  • Coming from the South: you can go through the grass as soon as you pass the tree line. You can drive around the bus drive on the grass all the way to the back of the property. You will then wind your way around to the playground.   

  • Coming from the North: You can drive along the tree line, on our property, which will lead you to the path coming out of the Carey Glen neighborhood. That path will connect you to the parking lot where a yellow line is painted to mark the golf cart lane. This lane will lead you to the playground where you will pick up your child.
